Harvard-Westlake vs. Corona Centennial CIF State Playoffs

In the southern regional finals (state semifinals) of the CIF state playoffs, the #3 seed Harvard-Westlake Wolverines traveled across Los Angeles to face the top team in the state, the Centennial Huskies from Corona, CA. Coming into this game, Centennial hadn’t lost a game to a California team in nearly two years, with their last loss coming against Harvard-Westlake. Harvard-Westlake held a 31-2 record coming into the matchup and Centennial held a 30-3 record.

Centennial is led by class of 2023 5-star Duke commit Jared McCain, 2023 Loyola Marymount commit Aaron McBride, 2023 4-star UCLA commit Devin Williams, and 2024 4-star UCLA commit Eric Freeny. Harvard-Westlake is led by 2023 4-star St. John’s commit Brady Dunlap, 2024 3-star Princeton commit Jacob Huggins, 2024 4-star Trent Perry, 2024 4-star Harvard commit Robert Hinton, and 2025 4-star Nik Khamenia. This matchup between these star-studded squads will determine who represents the southern section in the CIF Open Division State Championship. This video is a portion of the docuseries I have created titled “Grounded” featuring 4-star Brady Dunlap. The docuseries captures Dunlap’s journey throughout his high school career which includes the road to a state championship in his senior season, committing to a high-level basketball college, his successes and struggles in recruitment, and more.
